Charlotte Roberts

Cellist

Charlotte Vance née Roberts is a New Zealand born Australian cellist, whose career has taken her from concert halls and recording studios to iconic artist tours, creative collaborations, and luxury celebrations throughout Australia and internationally.

Based in Sydney’s Blue Mountains, Charlotte is known for performances that combine exceptional musicianship with passion and quiet elegance. Her work moves effortlessly between concert performance, recording sessions, classical and contemporary artistic collaboration, and bespoke live performances.

A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in Music Performance, Charlotte furthered her studies in Moscow and London, followed by a chamber music residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Canada. As an inaugural Australian Chamber Orchestra Emerging Artist, she has performed throughout Australia and internationally, appearing on stages including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Royal Albert Hall in London and the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall.

Alongside her classical work, Charlotte has enjoyed a diverse performing life and has recorded and toured with iconic Australian and internationally acclaimed artists. Moving effortlessly between the concert platform, recording studio and contemporary stage, she is equally at home performing on concert stages, in the studio for a session, recording a film score, touring and collaborating with artists, or creating atmosphere for corporate events, or intimate performance for a private celebration.

Today, Charlotte’s work encompasses concerts, recording sessions, artist touring, creative collaborations, education and bespoke live performance. Through both her solo work, session engagements, and bespoke ensemble formations with The Strings & Co. Ardour Strings she brings together technical excellence, thoughtful artistry and a love of creating meaningful musical experiences for performers and audiences alike.
